ReOpening the Case in Florida
In 2008, Laura Bowdoin was a vibrant woman preparing to leave a toxic marriage. She was caring for her young daughter, working full-time, and looking forward to starting over. But on the night of June 18th, she went to bed—and never woke up.
Her husband claimed she overdosed on Ambien and diet pills, but her family knew something was terribly wrong.
Laura had previously told her mother about strange things happening. Her tea appeared foamy and tampered with. She suspected her husband was drugging her. In fact, she had been so concerned, she mentioned waking up paralyzed—unable to speak or move—with her husband standing over her. She feared for her life. She feared for her daughter.
Just two nights before she died, she told her mother she would never let her husband take custody of their child. She feared he was a danger.
